We support several devices (list will come out soon as we launch this service) but for this article we will use a Samsung phone as an example.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, this article&#8217;s discussion will focus ONLY on the things you need to do or prepare prior to the remote session.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>TLDR; There is a Youtube video that supplements this written guide, but all the downloadable files are in this article.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>A remote unlock session is guaranteed not to exceed 45 minutes in the best case scenario. To make sure your phone will last throughout the whole session, it needs to have at least 50% battery\/power.<\/p>\n<p>What you need to have for the remote unlock session are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A computer that runs Windows Vista or later. Windows XP may or may not work. Our unlock software also doesn&#8217;t work on a Mac or Linux.<\/li>\n<li>A phone (e.g. Samsung) that you want to unlock and has at least 50% of power in it.<\/li>\n<li>Appropriate USB Cable (since we&#8217;re going to need to connect the phone to the computer).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>1. Enable USB Debugging on the Samsung smartphone.<\/h1>\n<p>In order for the phone to &#8220;talk&#8221; with the computer, we need to allow USB Debugging on your Samsung phone. Download and install three things.<\/h1>\n<p>After making sure that the phone is now communicating with your PC\/laptop, the next thing you have to prepare are the tools and the software we to install for our computers to be able to communicate to each other over the internet.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamviewer.com\/en\/download\/windows\/\">TeamViewer<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Is a tool that allows you to share client&#8217;s (you) screen and give exclusive access to another user (UnlockBase technician) to remotely control your computer. Of course, we can only proceed with your permission.\n<ul>\n<li>Select &#8220;Basic Installation&#8221; and under &#8220;How do you want to proceed?&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Select &#8220;Personal \/ Non-commercial use&#8221; on &#8220;How do you want to use TeamViewer?&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8220;Accept.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>When prompted &#8220;to allow this app to make changes to your device&#8221;. Click &#8220;Yes&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>When TeamViewer window opens. Leave it for now.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/developer.samsung.com\/galaxy\/others\/android-usb-driver-for-windows\">Samsung USB Drivers<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; In addition to having a USB cable, this is required in order for your computer to communicate with your Samsung smartphone.\n<ul>\n<li>Click &#8220;Next&#8221;, twice.<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8220;Install&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Once done, click &#8220;Finish&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=1ONn-DHY2baQzyPH5AWB0FA8ja6QbRSJn\">UnlockBase Client<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; This will connect your Samsung smartphone to the technician&#8217;s computer over the internet.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h1>3. Connect the phone to the computer using the appropriate USB cable.<\/h1>\n<p>Connect one end of the cable to the phone you wish to unlock and the other end to the laptop\/PC. To see whether your PC is &#8220;seeing&#8221; your phone and that it&#8217;s been recognized you need to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Launch the Device Manager\n<ul>\n<li>On your keyboard, press Windows Logo and R at the same time.<\/li>\n<li>Type in &#8220;devmgmt.msc&#8221;, without the quotation marks. Press Enter<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5577 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/Capture-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"370\" height=\"191\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/Capture-1.png 399w, https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/Capture-1-300x155.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 370px) 100vw, 370px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that these two shows up under Device Manager.\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem&#8221; under &#8220;Modems&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;SAMSUNG Android ADB Interface&#8221; under &#8220;SAMSUNG Android Phone&#8221; or &#8220;Android Device&#8221;<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5576 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/Capture.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"274\" height=\"436\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/Capture.png 322w, https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/Capture-189x300.png 189w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 274px) 100vw, 274px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h1>4. Launch UnlockBase Client<\/h1>\n<p>Once you ensure that your Samsung phone is recognized by your PC\/laptop, we can then Launch the UnlockBase Client. If you&#8217;re logged in to the UnlockBase Client, that means we&#8217;re now able to communicate to your computer over the internet.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>When it asks you that it needs to run as an Administrator. Click &#8220;Yes&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>If prompted click &#8220;Run&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>If prompted that you &#8220;want to allow this app to make changes to your device?&#8221;. Click &#8220;Yes&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>For the ID, type &#8220;UnlockBase&#8221; (without the quotation marks&#8221;).<\/li>\n<li>Then click &#8220;Log in&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-5578 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/Capture-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"349\" height=\"411\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/Capture-2.png 502w, https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/Capture-2-254x300.png 254w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 349px) 100vw, 349px\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Now, contact and inform the technician on Skype, Telegram, Viber, or Whatsapp. Wait for their reply and they can pretty much take it from here. During the remote unlock session, you can see everything that&#8217;s happening on your screen. And since both of you are doing this through TeamViewer, you can always get the cursor access back anytime you see anything suspicious. Moreover, you can always uninstall all the software we used AFTER the unlock process is complete and confirmed on your phone.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>That&#8217;s basically it.
