The Xiaomi 17 Ultra launch confirmation came through Weibo<\/a>, and there’s more to this story than just an early release date. The company’s relationship with Leica is entering a new phase. We’re not talking about the usual tech partnership where one company slaps their logo on another’s product. This is what Xiaomi calls “strategic co-creation” both companies are now building these devices together from the ground up, rather than just sharing research notes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s Inside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Camera Module?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Here’s where things get interesting. The 17 Ultra will be the first phone ever to feature a Leica-certified APO telephoto lens. If you’re not familiar with APO (apochromatic) lenses, they’re designed to virtually eliminate those annoying color fringing issues and chromatic aberration that can ruin otherwise perfect shots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main camera is getting a major upgrade too a brand-new one-inch sensor that Xiaomi’s calling “next-generation.” They’re being coy about specifics, but whispers in the tech community point toward an Omnivision OV50X sensor paired with a massive 200MP telephoto camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
