It is calculated by SHA1 encoding four of the following data:<\/p>\n<p><em>UDID = SHA1 (serial_number + ECID + wifiMac + bluetoothMac)<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">It&#8217;s a bit like a Social Security Number: specific to each unit; it enables Apple to immediately find the phone in its database of millions of mobile data from iPod, iPad etc. However, there\u2019s a much simpler way to do this, and the good news is you don\u2019t have to be a geek to understand it. We will explain how to find the UDID of your iPhone easily.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method # 1: Conventional method: <span style=\"color: #008000;\">UDID via iTunes<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The best known method is to find the UDID from iTunes. Nothing could be easier: connect your iPhone via USB cable, open iTunes, click your device, then on the screen summarizing the information on your iPhone, simply click the serial number. Each click will cycle and reveal clean data on your phone. Once the UDID is displayed, right click the mouse button to copy, as shown here:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2041\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/get-udid-via-itunes.png\" alt=\"How to get UDID via iTunes\" width=\"560\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/get-udid-via-itunes.png 560w, https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/get-udid-via-itunes-300x160.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">This method is very easy except when your iPhone is locked by iCloud, in which case you cannot access this screen because iTunes will immediately ask you for the email and password of your iCloud account. This is where we offer a second method.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method # 2: Recover an <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">iPhone UDID without\u00a0iTunes<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> with Windows<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Nothing could be simpler, just plug your iPhone with a USB cable into your PC and follow these instructions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open the &#8220;Windows Control Panel&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Open &#8220;Devices and Printers&#8221; (under &#8220;Hardware and Sound&#8221;)<\/li>\n<li>Find and double-click &#8220;Apple Mobile Device USB Driver&#8221; (<strong>1<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>A properties window will open, select the &#8220;Hardware&#8221; tab<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8220;Apple Mobile Device USB Driver&#8221; (<strong>2<\/strong>) and then &#8220;Properties&#8221; (<strong>3<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>A 3rd window opens, select the &#8220;Details&#8221; tab (<strong>4<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>In the drop down list of properties, locate the &#8220;Device Instance Path&#8221; (<strong>5<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Once selected, the &#8220;Value&#8221; is displayed below, simply right click and select &#8220;Copy&#8221; (<strong>6<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/get-udid-without-itunes-under-windows.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2042\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/get-udid-without-itunes-under-windows.png\" alt=\"How to get the UDID of your Blocked iPhone from Windows\" width=\"600\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/get-udid-without-itunes-under-windows.png 600w, https:\/\/www.unlockbase.com\/blog\/wp-content\/get-udid-without-itunes-under-windows-281x300.png 281w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You will see something like this:\u00a0<em><del>USB\\VID_05AC&amp;PID_12A8\\81130C21720C887B991F2181369C201A24DFFF65<\/del><br \/>\n<\/em>It&#8217;s the last part that interests us:\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>81130C21720C887B991F2181369C201A24DFFF65<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Method # 3: Recover an <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">iPhone UDID without\u00a0iTunes<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> with\u00a0MAC<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">First, power on your iDevice and plug it into your Mac. Select the Apple icon at the top-left of the Menu Bar, hold the Option key on the keyboard, and select \u201cSystem Information\u201d (this menu entry replaces \u201cAbout This Mac\u201d when the Option key is depressed).<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">When the System Information window loads, look under the Hardware section on the left and select the entry for USB. A list of your Mac\u2019s USB ports and any attached USB hubs will appear on the right. Find your iPhone in this list and look at the bottom panel.
